The student will learn the flight skills and gain the experience necessary to meet the requirements for a private pilot rating. This certificate allows the pilot to operate an airplane during the day or night in good weather conditions, or visual flight rules (VFR). As a private pilot, you can fly an airplane and carry passengers (friends, family, co-workers, etc.), but not for hire. You can, however, share the operating expenses with your passengers. The private pilot certificate is the first step for those interested in a career in aviation.
• 40 hours of total flight time.
•20 hours of flight training.
•10 hours of solo time.

The student will learn the flight skills and gain the experience necessary to meet the requirements for an instrument rating. This rating allows the pilot to operate an airplane in reduced visibility, and in clouds for longer flights. Being able to fly an aircraft solely with instruments adds confidence and ability to your aviation experience.
• 50 hours of cross-country flight time as pilot in command.
• 40 hours of actual or simulated instrument time.
• 15 hours minimum of instrument flight training from an authorized instructor in the aircraft category for the instrument rating sought.

• An instrument approach at each airport.
• Three different kinds of approaches with the use of navigation systems.
The student will learn the flight skills and gain the experience necessary to meet the requirements for a commercial pilot. This certificate will allow the pilot to fly for compensation, with the understanding that the pilot must meet the industry requirements in order to get hired. There are some restrictions until certain flight experience levels are gained. Students must reach 250 hours and take the single engine commercial flight test.
• 250 hours of flight time.
• 100 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
• Cross Country of 300 nm with a single leg of 250 nm.

The student will learn the flight skills and gain the experience necessary to meet the requirements for a Certified Flight Instructor Certificate. This certification allows you to give instruction to pilots for single engine certificates and ratings. Students training for this certificate must hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate.
